Scoring a Win Against Drugs: Dr. J and Drug-Free World Team Up to Educate Youth
The Foundation for a Drug-Free World recently partnered with legendary Julius "Dr J" Erving to promote drug education among young basketball players. Co-hosted at the 76'ers Training Facility in New Jersey, the event saw Dr. Bernard Fialkoff, President of the Drug-Free World, Americas Chapter deliver a talk on the importance of living drug-free.
Drug-Free World volunteers distributed free drug education and prevention materials to all the young participants. The event concluded with Dr. J and Dr. Fialkoff leading the participants in taking a pledge to remain drug-free.
Through partnerships with influential individuals and organizations, the foundation aims to inspire young people to make the right choices when it comes to drug use. By providing information about drugs and their effects, the foundation hopes to create a world where everyone can live a healthy and drug-free life.
