An Interview with James J. Hunt, DEA New York Division, Special Agent

The Foundation for a Drug-Free World, Americas Chapter recently celebrated its 10th Anniversary Drug-Free Hero Awards Gala on June 1, 2017. This prestigious event took place at Leonard's Palazzo in Great Neck, New York, and was organized in recognition of the United Nations International Day Against Drug Abuse.

During the gala, the Foundation honored over 25 distinguished local, national, and international leaders for their outstanding efforts in combating drug abuse. Each of these individuals received the prestigious Drug-Free Hero Award. The event also featured a variety of keynote speakers from different sectors, including representatives from the government, education, and celebrity/arts communities.

Kerri Kasem, a top TV and radio host as well as an activist, was in attendance at the 10th Anniversary Gala. She had the opportunity to interview several of the event's keynote speakers and some of the 2017 Drug-Free Hero Awardees. Through these interviews, she was able to gain insight into the awardees' dedication to creating a drug-free world and learn more about their inspiring stories.

One of Kasem's most notable interviews was with a representative from the Drug Enforcement Administration's New York Division, who also happened to be a 2017 Drug-Free Hero Keynote Speaker at the 10th Anniversary Drug-Free Hero Awards Gala in New York. This insightful conversation shed light on the ongoing battle against drug abuse and the importance of supporting the Foundations programs and initiatives.
